As of right now the boys are still eating every 3 hours!! So we have lots and lots of bottles and burps and poops and mamas praying they loose this habit soon!!!
Donny wakes up at 3 am to leave for work at 3:30, I usually get up and make his lunch and get him some breakfast... it just depends on the day but this morning Charlie woke up at 2:30 and was ready to eat... I change their diaper before they eat and then make a bottle and feed them. Burping 3 times during the bottle and then we cuddle and hold them upright for 10-20 minutes to help reduce the spit up. (I will be sooooo glad when their esophagus starts working and hold the milk down!!! spit up is no Bueno). Donny is getting ready and I put Charlie back to sleep, the get Connor up and change his diaper and feed and burp and cuddle him.... Then I get to go back to sleep its now 3:45am
6:00am Charlie is screaming, I look at my clock whoo hoo I got an entire 2 hours and 15 minutes sleep!!! Oh yeah I need to get up and feed a baby... make a bottle, change diaper, feed, burp, cuddle and put him to sleep... then get Connor up and do the same with him... im back in bed by 7:30...
8:50am Surprise surprise Charlie is up crying and ready to eat.... no way buddy you gotta hold out a little longer... so I get bottles ready, brush my teeth and make a bowl of cereal... by this time Charlie is pissed so we change his diaper, feed, burp, cuddle and now were up for the day. We go into the living room and he las in his rock and play and we watch some tv while I eat my breakfast and Connor is a little sweet heart and still sleeping!!! I finish my breakfast and go wake Connor up and do the whole routine!! Then he lays in his rock and play and snoozes while I wash some bottles... note to self buy some more bottles!!! I work on house work, laundry and this post!!!
noon... you guessed it Charlie is awake and hungry... feed both guys and they go back to snoozing.... I make myself some lunch and check facebook. Then I go out and feed the dogs and check on them.
3:25pm the boys are waking up but not crying with hunger so this is the perfect time to do tummy time... Charlie loves it... Connor tolerates it... Connor really likes looking at himself in the little mirror which is funny cause he could just roll over and look at his brother... ha ha!!
just about 2 minutes and they are out... asleep again... just laying there ... 10 - 15 minutes and they are done... ready to eat... at the same time!!! that's ok guys mamas got some trick up her sleeve!! I put them each in a boppy lounger in the spare crib and they both eat at the same time alternating burping each one..
after they eat they stay sitting there for a little while listening to the radio.. they love country and rock music!!!
5:15pm Daddy gets home and gets cleaned up and they both go cuddle with him and watch tv...
most of the time its COPS or war reenactments on the history channel... while they are with daddy I get to have a shower!!!! Hallelujah I feel like a human again!!!! I then think about what to make for dinner... cereal??? nooo... so I make a pizza... supreme... so we totally got our veggies in for the day !!!
6:30pm I get their baths ready... Charlie goes first and then the feeding routine and then get tucked into bed... then get a fresh bath for Connor and then he gets fed. by 7:45 do I dare say they are tucked in for the night???
I almost texted my mom "im going to bed and its 8 pm!!!" yeah I totally jinxed myself!!! Right about that time Charlie... dear sweet high maintenance Charlie starts fussing.. so I go reswaddle him and fix his paci... 2 minutes of silence then a little louder crying... well this went on till the next feeding at 10pm!!!!!
10pm feed Charlie again.... is this getting too repetitive??? are you getting board yet??? yes this is our day..... eat sleep poop repeat!!!!! then feed connor and poor sweet connor you are so patient and understanding with your brother because during your feeding I get up no less than 5 times to put brothers paci back in or calm him down from crying and you are just so patient with us!! I get both of you back in your crib and I think to sleep... nope Charlie is still fussy and cannot calm down and go to sleep...
11:45pm im crying because I have been trying to console Charlie since 8pm and im a horrible mom and nothing is working right and I don't know what my child needs and what do I do?!?!?! I go wake up Donny who has to get up in 3 hours to go to work and say "I don't know what to do please help me" so he goes in and picks up Charlie and said I think he's still hungry lets try to feed him again... yup he ends up eating double what he normally eats and immediately falls asleep and Donny laid him down and he kept sleeping!!!!! now I have a super important decision to make... go poop or go to sleep... sleep wins and were both in bed by 12:20 am and our alarms are set for 3am to do it all over again...
Now on the rare occasion they will sleep 4-5 hours but that's very rare!!! I love these boys so much I would keep this up for the rest of their lives... but..... mama needs some sleep and would really appreciate it if you guys would start sleeping a little longer, at least during the night cause mama goes back to work next Monday and 4 hours total sleep is just not gonna cut it much longer.
